We spent a week in this apartment in the heart of Alghero’s Old Town and had an amazing time!
First of all, the location is perfect. Via Maiorca is a peaceful, quiet street, yet shops, restaurants and all the attractions of the Old Town are just a short walk away — in fact, they’re right around the corner.
The apartment has pretty much everything you need: a lovely bedroom with a large, comfortable bed and a spacious wardrobe, a bathroom, and a living room with a well-equipped kitchen. Everything was clean and tastefully furnished.
Our host, Arturo, was very helpful and responsive. He kindly let us check in early, which meant a lot to us and allowed us to start enjoying our holiday right away.
We absolutely loved our stay and would happily book this apartment again. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it!
None of these were really an issue for us, but we think a few details are worth mentioning for future guests:
- The apartment doesn't get a lot of natural light during the day, which is understandable given its location on a narrow street in the historic centre. We actually felt this was part of the Old Town experience, but it's worth keeping in mind if you prefer bright, sunny apartments.
- If you're particularly sensitive to noise, you should know that you can hear the ventilation fans from a neighbouring restaurant when the windows are open. However, the noise is barely noticeable with the windows closed, and it didn't bother us at all
- The kitchen is very well equipped, but there was no kettle. Not a big deal, but it would be a nice addition!
