This property is one of the best vacation properties we have ever stayed at. It is a fabulous space in a beautiful, with incredible views. Natural wonders, interesting villages, and larger towns like Vichy are all in close proximity. Every detail of the apartment has been carefully considered and all needs met by our wonderful host, Georges. He provided tasty and beautifully presented breakfasts with good coffee, fresh croissants, buns, bread, a variety jams made by local farmers, and homemade yogurt with fruit coulis and honey - a real wow! He even looked after things we neglected - for example, when we left a partially consumed bottle of sparkling wine on the table, we came home to find he had chilled it for us. His assistance with dinner recommendations and reservations was wonderful and so much appreciated.

The hilltop town of Montpeyroux is like something out of a fairytale, and so immaculately kept. There is a little cafe/bar just a couple of minutes walk away and there are three restaurants also minutes away. It's idyllic.
We drove our own car and there is a designated area to park at La Charmaraie - the roads are narrow, naturally but manageable. Georges is very welcoming and ensures you have everything you need, the room is made up daily, the breakfast is lovely and so nicely presented. There is a large private terrace with table and chairs and two sun loungers and with a spectacular view over the surrounding countryside. Apart from your bedroom and ensuite, you also have your own private lounge room. As soon as we arrived I wanted to book to return, but the place is so nice that it is booked out months in advance!
