La Goleta Hotel de Mar - Adults Only

Location, team, facilities. The cafe on the ground floor was especially lovely with good breakfasts in the am and perfect spot for post ride beer’s

Not a lot. TV’s were a bit rubbish, small and fiddly but everything else great.

The staff were great

So much to like! Firstly a great location in the centre and overlooking the beach but not the super noisy part of the town. Great facilities; cafeteria, pool, rooms with balconies and super friendly/helpful staff. If you’re a cyclist, they have secure storage & cleaning too.

Only grumble (which in part is personal taste) was that the quality of the mattress didn’t match the quality of everything else about the hotel.

the proximity of the hotel to the beach

Very disappointing experience. The staff were extremely rude and unhelpful throughout our stay. During check-out, we requested assistance with our luggage and were met with resistance and an argument from a receptionist. We were told that because this is a 4-star hotel, we should not expect the same level of service as a 5-star hotel. I found this response unprofessional and unacceptable. The lack of hospitality extended beyond the front desk. Even when politely asking a server for a glass of water, we were told to get it ourselves from the restaurant because it was self-service. Simple requests were handled with little courtesy or willingness to help. I have traveled extensively around the world and have stayed in many hotels of various categories, but I have rarely encountered service this poor. The overall atmosphere was unfriendly and far from the relaxing, enjoyable vacation experience we were hoping for. Disappointing Stay – Not as Advertised This hotel is a small boutique property with very small rooms. However, the way it is advertised gives the impression of a much larger hotel with extensive amenities, which is misleading. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for quality service and a peaceful vacation.
