Modern hotel close to the Shiretoko National Park. Very easy to get to and from the park.
Room was great. Large, comfortable, clean, well lit. Very modern, contemporary.
In the evenings at the lounge after the dinner rush, there is a lecture about the different animals in the Shiretoko area. It was given in Japanese and if you paid attention the language really wasn't much of a barrier if you watched the slideshow. Small lounge area offering some cookies, beer, tea, coffee.
Fairly large indoor onsen with the smaller outdoor onsen for the females. There is a sauna wood igloo that features a wood stove that heats it if you are looking for some dry heat after soaking. It is quite small and maybe 3-4 people can fit in but 4 is a very very tight squeeze.
Buffet was great, lots to choose from, and it covered a large area so traffic never felt too congested despite the amount of people. Had 3/4 Japanese offerings and 1/4 Western food (pizza, beef, potatoes, etc).
The hotel is maybe a 10 minute drive from the visitor center. The visitor center also offers a store if you need last minute gear (North Face, Helly Hanson) and offers items to rent (e.g., beer spray, tall rubber boots for marshy hikes). A 15 minute drive to the Shiretoko Goko Lakes Center.

New facilities- probably renovated not long ago.
A bit of a walk to the small town. But it’s ok since we like to walk.

Room sizes were excellent - large and spacious with great views.
The F&B spread was so various - the food was superb!
The hotel shop was lovely - I loved their products for quality and variety.
The staff was friendly.
There was one staff from Nepal - I cannot recall his name - he was also very helpful.
