We reached Tangalle in at the end of September 2026, and it was quite empty. Ganesh Garden Beach Cabanas are located at the end of a narrow stretch, and were probably inhabited by only us during our entire stay. This was great as we had the beach, pool from the adjacent property, and the hammocks to ourselves! The staff is really helpful, they accommodated for a better router for our room, kettle and cups for tea/coffee (even though our room amenities didn't really state it, though its an odd omission), and prepared delicious Sri Lankan vegan meals for us at its Mahi restaurant. Since it's quite far from the main area, the beach is quiet and very clean. There was instant 24x7 hot water available in the shower, so that was great (though be careful, it is hot on right, and cold on left, and hot can be very very hot!).
- The room has a king sized bed with mosquito nets, though the room itself isn't big enough to handle it. This means, narrow walking paths, and that one person has to climb over the other to get off the bed as the other side is blocked. The sockets and switches for fan/light were also hard to reach as they are only accessible when on bed. All this friction makes the room not a pleasant experience to stay in, especially when the outside is so beautiful. But when it's quite hot during the noon time, or its raining, or during night, and you can't swim in the sea due to strong currents, you would hope for a better room.
- The shower head looked bit rusty, can be improved.
- The restaurant has great sri lankan food for vegans, but their fried rice/spaghetti were quite disappointing
- For the price, this is quite great, and with some changes I feel Ganesh Garden can elevate their rooms to even higher status (bed layout, kettle in room, smaller table + chair appropriate to the room size, clean shower head, more light fixtures)

Everything was perfect. Prior to arrival they have contacted us to prepare a transfer coming to the property, upon arrival we were welcomed with drinks and a complete show around of their facilities and gave all the informations that we needed.
Everyone are friendly from Tarranga who is the resort manager and all of the staff. They made delicious seafood meals that we really enjoyed.
Thank you so much guys for making our stay one of the most memorable one. We will definitely come back.
