The location was excellent, and the staff was outstanding. The clerk at the front desk went above and beyond in pointing us in the right direction, offering us advice, and helping us when we needed it. It made all the difference. The in room air conditioning was also a lifesaver.
The water pressure in the makeshift shower (a hose attached to a bathtub faucet) was weak and leaky, which made showering a challenge. It was lovely having a private bathroom, though it was a tight squeeze to maneuver between the sink and toilet.

The lady at reception was friendly and helpful (not so much the young man). The room was airy with a high ceiling and looked out on the grounds of the British Embassy.
No coffee or tea making facilities. Ancient lift- make sure the outer door closes. Room painted a rather striking lemon, apart from where the plaster had cracked.

The best experience was the staff during check-in, where the man (sorry - I forgot his name) was the most pleasant and hospitable person I have ever met. He gave me information about where I could find restaurants nearby, and even gave me a map with the main attractions around the city, and gave me tips on how I could plan my solo adventures. This was the best thing about my stay. He is the best!!
The elevator failed to work once or twice, but that was not a big deal since I could use the stairs; I had no luggage during those times.
