Loved the staff. So friendly and that's what makes or breaks a place for me. When we first arrived I had hurt my ankle and was finding stairs hard so the lady moved us down a floor. I ended up in 203 the first time we stayed as we came back and stayed for two nights 10 days later. Loved my room 203 as there was a little bit of foliage to the side of the balcony so I could watch the nook birds but not too much as I tend to avoid too much as mosquitos love to bite me. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the shower was great. Tea and coffee and water provided. The location was second to none for Lamai as you can walk everywhere from the hotel and very safe. There is no view from this hotel though as you are looking at the hotel across and they seemed to be doing a bit of building work but that didn't bother me as I liked to people watch. All in all I would definately stay there again but I would request the first room 203.
I didn't like the balcony in room 204. Everything was blocked by trees so it was very dark. It also gave me a bit of an issue with the mosquitos. Maybe cut the trees back a bit just for light. But I wouldn't fault anything else

Great value for money, a minute walk away from Lamai beach. Very comfortable room
In a pretty quiet area. The staff were disorganised and had some trouble with finding my booking. Also a bit of a language barrier as an English speaker

Great location, just a minute or two walk to the beach. Also the staff was very accommodating.
The first room we were given smelled really strongly of mold. Fortunately the staff understood and gave us another room that did not smell.
However the staff did not at all seem surprised by our complaint. That worries me that they know, and do not do anything about it.
The rooms themselves look like they were amazing 10 or so years ago, but today they are in great need of renovations. Cracks in walls, leaking rainwater in the bathroom and other signs of wear and tear.
