Located about halfway between the Duomo and Catania Centrale Train Station. It was close to several restaurants, the Theater and all important Fish Market! Staff was very friendly, accomodating and professional. Breakfast wasn't fancy but quite adequate. There is no coffee maker so the staff brings the coffee.
I was a little put off initially by the exterior apperance and all the codes one had to remember (there were no keys, just a personal code to put into the key pad at several doors, including your room and another code for the elevator and entrance.

We had a room at the top which had its own balcony and a superb view towards Mount Etna. Very comfortable bed and excellent bathroom. Good breakfast with a wide choice.
The room was only accessible by a flight of stairs - that would be difficult for anyone with mobility issues.

There were renovations going on. The drains in the room stunk.
Centrally located.
The rooms were very small. Breakfast area could only accommodate 8 people in one sitting.
