Excellent location, close to the train station, restaurants and easy access to the main sights.
The shared bathroom, but we knew that when we booked it. It was also a little noisy at night but that is only to be expected in the middle of a city like Rome and was not a problem.

Centrally situated by the sites, with a great choice of restaurants on your doorstep. Easy walking distance to the coleseum and a 5 minute walk to the main train station. A quaint hotel with traditional fixtures and fittings. The hotel was clean but old with a damp smell in the entrance. Once in the other areas the smell went away. The shared bathroom was clean and the rooms had the basic amenities.

Close to the train station.
I paid at the place with my card but the staff wanted me to pay the “tassa soggiorno” separately in cash. I had to go out and look for an ATM. Obviously there was no mention of this in emails. I see what you did there…
