Very surprised how up market. The hotel was even though it was classed as 3 star
One of the hotels recopinist a little but all the rest of the staff were very friendly

The rooftop pool and restaurant area were nice, giving great views of Funchal. Rooms were comfortable and quiet.
Housekeeping came late in the day. Not really a problem, we just expected the room to have been serviced in the morning or early afternoon while we were out.

Clean and smart, friendly staff.
Bed a little hard.

The location is brilliant, and the receptionist who checked us in was super.
Our beds were unmade for 2 days but when we mentioned it to the reception, they got it sorted right away.
