My partner and I stayed for three nights in late October, and we found Kalyssa to be a generally quiet and comfortable stay. It's located away from the main road, meaning that very few scooters or cars pass the property; it's only a short walk from the ocean, and an approx. 15 minute walk along the beach to beachfront restaurants, or back along the access road to the main shops. The staff were very attentive, warm and welcoming, and they were helpful with organising snorkelling, other activities and transport around the Pemuteran area (though you could probably find cheaper options for all of the above with your own research). The pool facilities were beautiful, and the simple but hearty breakfasts always offered a good start to the day – as did the surprise snacks in the afternoon and evening. The front desk also has snorkelling gear (fins and masks) which you can borrow for free to use at the nearby BioRock reef.
The bungalows themselves are beautiful, but they are not necessarily air tight, meaning a few things: insects (incl. mosquitos) and other critters can find their way in; it can take quite some time to cool the rooms down if you go out without leaving the air conditioning on; and sounds from neighbouring bungalows and/or from adjacent land lots (including livestock and construction noise) travel through the walls quite easily. The mattresses were also a little firm for our liking, though by no means uncomfortable, and our pillows also showed signs of mildew in the fabric. Lastly, the scrambled eggs or omelette options for breakfast seemed to be made with flour or some other thickener included in the mix, making for a strange texture for those unaccustomed (though perhaps this is just our personal taste).

Un rapport qualité prix hors norme. L’accueil et l’aide incroyable de tout le personnel pour faciliter mon séjour .
L’hôtel se trouve au bout d’un chemin rocailleux d’un 1km peu éclairé la nuit qui tombe très tôt à bali. Heureusement le personnel s’est dévoué pour venir me récupérer en scooter tous les soirs après mon dîner en ville. Très apprécié.
