Palazzo Durante

Historic buying right on waterfront and in excellent location . Awesome comunal terrace overlooking the sea

No tea/ coffee in room, small room

The house is the real home of a famous surgeon who lived there. It keeps the authentic atmosphere of a century old home. It is not luxury, but we liked the authentic feeling. Its location is at the sea and you can walk along or have a dinner at some of the many seaside restaurants around. The staff is nice and helpful. Good value for money.

localization - next too the beach and restaurants and cafes

it was OK

Location was pretty good. Close enough to get a short taxi to Taormina, without needing to actually stay there. This is great when you might want the relaxed atmosphere of a quiet, smaller town that's close enough to the popular attractions and sites. The hotel had a nice little patio to sit out that's overlooking the ocean. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful.

The rooms, or at least the smaller options, had hardly anything in them. Just the bare minimum. There was only a sheet and two small pillows for the bed. We asked for additional pillows and also some kind of heavier blanket for the bed. There was only 1 additional pillow and then an additional sheet. We actually went out to buy a blanket to use on the bed. The beds are also extremely uncomfortable. We were very surprised there was literally nothing else available to use at a hotel that had cost similar to at least a 3, or 4, star hotel. Definitely did not feel like anything above 2. They should probably focus a little more on improving the comfort of the rooms. The location was good, but Letojanni has a somewhat limited amount of options for restaurants and groceries. Great for a few nights. We stayed a week and ran out of options very quickly.
