Surrounded by established gardens lovingly nurtured for over 20 years, Longreach offers the simple pleasure of slowing down and enjoying the beauty of the Australian countryside.

As a wildlife refuge, the property provides a sanctuary for an extraordinary variety of native animals. Kangaroos graze peacefully, wombats and echidnas wander through the bushland, while lyrebirds, kookaburras and colourful parrots fill the landscape with birdsong.

Sharing this special place are our much-loved Highland cattle. These gentle characters are treasured family pets, not raised for meat, and are very much part of the charm of Longreach.

Wander along our bushwalking track to a favourite spot we affectionately call The Bush Bath. Surrounded by native bushland, this peaceful lookout offers a magnificent bird’s-eye view of the Shoalhaven River. It’s a place to pause, breathe deeply and immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of nature.

Spend lazy afternoons relaxing in your own private garden, exploring the riverside or enjoying a refreshing swim in the shared pool. On cooler evenings, light the indoor fire, settle in with a good book and savour the tranquillity.

And when darkness falls, Longreach reveals another of its treasures. With exceptionally dark skies, approximately Bortle Class 3, the stargazing is extraordinary. On clear nights, the Milky Way stretches across the sky, far from the glare of city lights.
