Booked last minute; I received a code, but there was no room key in the safe. Luckily I was eventually assisted by another hotel guest—someone who hadn’t been able to stay the previous night because there was no staff present. It was also impossible to reach anyone by phone. Eventually, she managed to find a woman from the hotel—who appeared quite disoriented—somewhere on the castle grounds. The apartment itself is very beautiful and in a stunning location, though the soundproofing is poor. Perhaps the property should be marked as unavailable on Booking.com during their so-called "rest days."

The breakfast was very good with plenty of choice.
When we arrived 2 of the rooms we had booked had not been cleaned, beds were unmade and items were strewn everywhere. This was however cleared up quickly but shows that no checks are made prior to customers arring.
