We stayed one night and were pleasantly surprised by our stay we were not expecting it to be so nice. The staff was great.
I even forgot something there when we left in the morning and came back for it as it was on our way and they had kept it for me in the room !
The room was large, clean and big enough for 4 adults
The breakfast was very basic.
They could do with some more choices

Vagnsstaðir Guesthouse is a good option for a one-night stay in the Jökulsárlón area. It is a little further from Diamond Beach and the glacier lagoon than some other options, but offers the same level of comfort at a more reasonable price. The room and bathroom are fairly simple, but everything was clean and worked perfectly. The location is quiet and convenient for exploring this part of the South Coast.

Room was modern, clean and warm
The breakfast was very basic. The check in email wasn’t particularly welcoming, highlighting a list of rules but no mention of the hairdryer, kettle, or microwave that would have been very useful to know as there was only 1 restaurant nearby. Also, I know it’s natural, but the smell from the bathroom when using the shower was VERY strong - we didn’t experience this in any other guest house we stayed in. It was also the most expensive.
