The location, the staff, that it was clean and tidy
The windows let it in a lot of air even when being closed so it was both very loud from the street + super cold in the room

Location was amazing. Right in the heart of Porto, in the beautiful Saõ Bento station.
Beds were very comfortable, big rooms with storage lockers big enough to fit suitcase.
Showers and toilets were always clean and had good amenities such as a Dyson hair dryer.
There was no real age limit. Children as young as 6 running around all the way up to people the age of at least 70 ! Can be uncomfortable at times.
Also the very top bunk is very very high.

I liked the layout & the bathroom/shower facilities.
There was construction right outside which meant we were woken up 7-8am daily (as early as 6am from what I’ve heard). The construction is not their fault really but the price does not reflect this detail… & we couldn’t close the windows when it was hot as there was no aircon. It was also a bit of a mess in the room if I’m honest. We also had flies everywhere inside because we opened the windows. Considering the flies and heat I’d expect the hostel to have a fly screen.
