This was our second time at Palacio do Governador and we will for sure be back. It’s such a great place: super deluxe hotel, spa/wellness to relax yourself, indoor and outdoor swimming pool, convenient outdoors to chill, comfortable and romantic in-room dining, nice bar and bar men, pet friendly (we took our small dog), super clean, they go above and beyond to make your stay excellent. Besides all this the location is strategic, all nice and good food restaurants on walking distance, parking place and valet parking for your car, nice walks you can take along the Belem, or walk to monestary or museums, take the car to Estoril or Cascais of the centre of Lisbon. All personnell super nice and polite and enthousiastic, always ready to help and very nice daily management of Ines. 🙏🏼 Thank you all for your incredible service.
If we have to give feedback, we would wish the restaurants both Kan-Jo and Bartholeum had better menu’s and better chefs. The venues are gorgeous, the food really is not. I would change the menu’s and chefs and it would be such a better outcome for the guests and the management of the hotel economically. We tried many times but had to send the food back but paid for it in full because of all the other things we were happy about.

Decent amenities but quite worn down.
Fridge in the room wasnt working, lots of damage on the furniture, plugs next to the bed didnt work. AC in the gym the work in addition to very little equipment. Sheets were ripped and stained, asked them to replace it and then the staff was rude to me in the process.
More like 4 star vibe.
The staff didnt truly understand hospitality. Starting upon arrival “do you have a reservation” no I just walked in with my suitcase at midnight.
No towel or welcome drink (I’ve seen others get it).
food was missing from the in room dining, no service at the pool, staff wasnt welcoming or enthusiastic. Some didnt spea english (and kept speaking in portuguese nonetheless rather than grabbing another colleague to help out)
