This place was for me as returning to some old and very good friends at home. Partly it is like that because I have known Ajay and this wife, Nisha, the hosts, for some years from online when I have booked this place for a friend. From the first moment I entered the property, I had this feeling like returning to a known place, not being for the first time there. It was a HOME for us. The food was so good and clean, with local ingredients from their garden and this privilege to live inside an old coffee plantation as it is at Tranquil for us was really unique. I have never been in a place like that. We have explored the area in some walks with the team and was really nice. also, a simple walk to hear all the birds is not a simple walk, it is special and for us was like a dream. Thank you Ajay and Nisha and Hamzah and every member of the team. All were so kind and special for us and have treated us so nice. You will remain in our hearts and we will definitely return one day soon. What can I say more than thank you so much!!!! I will attach some photos as a witness of our experience!

An absolute gem! We loved our unique tree house experience amidst a beautiful canopy, with Malabar and birdlife in the trees, and monkeys on our platform!
The staff were all very welcoming, friendly and helpful.
Thanks to all the team from making our short stay so special.

Ajay is the perfect host and runs the nicest hotel we’ve stayed at in India in fact almost anywhere! He blends hospitality with all the trimmings of luxury and privacy. The food the pool the room and the public areas are all very nice and the whole establishment is set within a plantation with lots of lovely walks and chance to enjoy the abundant nature.

The resort has this old world charm. It is reflected in its architecture.
The food options were quite good with the staff ensuring we are taken care of.
Due to the age of the property, there were quite a few insects around the room, washroom, and poolside. The room had mosquito nets attached to the windows with Velcro, which I did not expect at a property with such a high rating. The nets were also quite dirty, which I noticed when I had to remove them to close the windows for the air conditioning. In several places, the Velcro had also come loose, which gave the impression that the nets had not been maintained or replaced for some time.
The windows appeared to have absorbed moisture and were quite difficult to close. During the night, one of the windows also partially opened on its own, which was concerning.
The trail around the property is quite nice and adds to the overall experience, but it was also not particularly well maintained and was quite muddy. This may be intentional and could be considered part of the property's character, but at this price point, I expected the overall upkeep to be better.
Overall, the property has a lot of potential and a lovely setting, but the level of maintenance did not quite match what I would expect given the property's rating and price point.
