Excellent location steps from the tube
It has thin walls so caution if you’re sound sensitive

A charming hotel full of Victorian elegance
The Pelham is a truly distinctive hotel, full of traditional British charm and Victorian-inspired elegance. The beautiful interiors, with rich colours, exquisite fabrics and elegant furnishings, create a warm and intimate atmosphere that feels more like a stylish private townhouse than a conventional hotel. Its character and attention to detail make it a particularly special place to stay. The location is excellent, making it easy to explore London while enjoying comfort and a touch of timeless English sophistication. I would happily stay here again.

Great location, just across from the South Kensington tube station, so it’s easy to get anywhere. It had a very British feel to it. The suite was roomy and lovely. Most of all, every staff member was friendly, kind and welcoming. Over our 5 night stay we felt like we were “home”.
Had to get used to the rumble of the trains running under the building but it didn’t take long for it to be like “white noise”.

Clean and nicely decorated. Excellent location opposite South Kensington Tube station. The conciege was helpful on our second and third day of our stay.
Check-in was a terrible experience. We checked in after the official check-in time to be told to sit and wait as someone needed to come and take us to our rooms as they were difficult to find. No one came for 30 minutes, so I went back to the desk to ask what was happening. They told me no one could help us yet as they were busy with another guest. Then we were told that actually one of our rooms wasn't ready. Other guests checking-in were also made to wait like us - one being an elderly couple who had just arrived on a long haul flight. Eventually they took us to the 1 room that was ready, but left our suitcase in the reception. Each time we asked about our suitcase we were told it was on it's way. After another 30 minutes we went to reception to see it still sitting there so we just took it ourselves. This is supposed to be a 5 star hotel - the service was anything but. Our room had a damp musty smell and the bed was extremely uncomfortable. We could also hear everything the person in the room above us was doing during the night. I will not be staying here the next time I visit London.
