Old facilities. Didn’t expect stain in bathroom of Prince Hotel room.
Old bathroom facilities, faucets with hot and cold water which drains poorly from the handwashing basin to the floor.
Black spots along the sealer are visible.

Very well maintained and wonderful staff. Onsen on site. Very good breakfast and dinner. Very relaxing.
The AC did not cool well at all. I would not stay there in the summer months.

The staff were the strongest point for the hotel. The front desk and shuttle driver were very helpful in advising transportation needs and helping us to the station. Very attentive to needs and service in the restaurant.
We’d been to Lake Towada later in the year and were blown away by the fall colors and great cloud formations so we were hoping for the same, and a leisurely stay at a nice place.
Not to be, it was rainy and had the feel of staying in a slightly upscale fishing lodge. Basic room functions and dated facilities. Didn’t help that it mostly rained all of our stay. We were also warned of bears, and the noise makers hanging on trees were trippy.
We initially went to Lake Towada by JR bus and had to cool our heels for 4 hours at the JR Towada terminal waiting for the shuttle to pick us up which is the hotel policy. Did I mention it was rainy?
Would advise going via Hachinohe not Shin-Aomori.
