If you prefer depth and rustic, old-fashioned warmth, then this is the place for you.
La Grange Ô Belles is set in tranquillity among the fields of Mayenne close to the Normandy border.
The establishment offers spacious, well-furnished, spotlessly clean, quaintly decorated rooms, ample breakfasts, and delicious, home-cooked, five-course dinners.
But there is much more to one's stay.
The host, Jacky, eats both breakfast and dinner with his guests and engages them in rich conversation on subjects ranging from Calvados to rugby, from Bach to Jacques Brel, and from politics to motorcycles.
Even more remarkable is that this is a one-man show. Besides being the owner and host, Jacky is the cook, the baker, and the office manager. He does not stop there – he does the shopping, the cleaning, the laundry and the ironing. But he still has time to guide you towards quaint villages, castles, restaurants and museums.
Jacky is a remarkable man, brimming with knowledge and love of life.

Jacky was such a great host, so friendly and hospitable. Lovely room and great breakfast with home made jams and local produce. We’ll be back!
