Lovely room, with very nice linen - and a great bathroom. A visit to Slane Hill is a must if you're staying here. The breakfast was excellent - and the young man serving at breakfast was friendly and welcoming. It was also an easy drive from here to the airport.
Staff at reception were professional, but not friendly.

The location was great and Slane town is quaint and beautiful. The Battle of the Boyne visitors centre was stunning with beautiful manicured gardens. The visitors centre itself was exceptionally clean and the toilets immaculate. The 15 minute video about the history of the battle was super.
We are an elderly couple 77 & 69 and there were several sets of stairs to climb - very narrow stairs, NO LIFT and no one to help with luggage PLUS our room was on the second floor!! Our bathroom toilet seat would not stand up and one could hardly flush the loo as the handle is up against the wall. The shower mechanism/tap did not work properly and the design is such that it makes it dangerously slippy to climb in to ( shower is inside the bath with A flimsy shower curtain. There are also cracked tiles on the floor and the bathroom generally was not to the standard we had expected. The whole hotel feels neglected. Our dinner was just ok but the bottle of Prosecco (screw top) was as flat as a pancake. The receptionist was lovely as well as the barman and the restaurant manager Sam who was welcoming, chatty and very helpful plus genuinely interested in her guests. Sam was so helpful in organising our dinner table setting and an anniversary card.
