Central Motel Ipswich

This is my 4th stay there this year. However didn’t enjoy it as much as 3 previous times

This time it seems some Rooms had multiple cars for already limited parking and I had to park way up street on thorn st. Also particularly on first night it was obvious 3 rooms were smoking in or directly in fron of their forms the smell from which was wafting into ours - with wi does closed - we are allergic to cigarette smoke. On return in Saturday evening before 5pm we found again no parking also that housekeeping had taken the two used towels and not replaced either of them . Sent text to manager but got no response. Office hours could be longer all days. Both evenings other guests were extra noisy and we were in room 7 trying to sleep it sounded as if kids were tuning the length of verandah to room 12 or 13 at end

Not Applicable

Some detergent to wash dishes with, at least at this motel a tea towel was supplied

For budget motel it was comfortable with reasonably contemporary furnishings.

There was NO wi-fi in the room despite their advertising of fast available wi-fi. Advised staff of same, blamed brick walls , atmosphere, not willing to fix. When one is from overseas one needs wifi, as do not have phone data. I had to cut my 3 day stay down to 2 and pay for another nights accommodation elsewhere so I could arrange air train tickets and work out translink routes to leave town. Perching at top of stairs 15m from room to access main wifi does not meet standard.

Location was great and 5 beds worked well for our family

We couldn't get the aircon to work the morning sun was quite warm .the bathroom was fine except the mouldy shower certain wasn't ideal There was a hair dryer which was awesome but it must over heat as it turned off and didn't turn back on other than this the stay was ok for a budget motel
