The location is the star attraction—you will be minutes from the fabulous León Cathedral and lots of cafes and restaurants, along with helpful staff, clean rooms, and a glass floor leading to the breakfast room proving a view of ancient Roman ruins.
Accessing the hotel is a pain. And not clearly explained in any of the emails I received. You need a door access code to get inside when you first arrive, then you have to touch a screen near the front desk and a very bored looking person registers you and walks you through the process of how to get your room key from the lock box near the front door. To further complicate matters, the front door access code that came with our key wasn’t correct and we couldn’t open the front entrance door. Thank goodness for other residents arriving to let us in. We had to go through the screen process of talking to a second very bored person to get a working front door access code. I expect they are tired of dealing with one frustrated resident after another. Note: None of that is a problem if you arrive between 7am to I think it’s 1pm, when there is a human sitting behind the reception desk.

Room size was ok. Was a little cramped with the two us and all our Camino gear, but it sufficed. Had a nice large patio to relax on. A/C could only blow cold.
Hot water came straight from the depths of hell. Had to really finesse the handle for the temperature to be just right. Be careful not to brand yourself on the hot water faucet because the shower is tiny, and there is hardly any space to maneuver in there.
