The 14m2 room was quite spacious and we had two large luggages, two small luggage and various backpacks and shopping bags. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows as well. There was a microwave on our floor as well as an ice machine. The staff were very friendly and were easy to communicate with.
The check in and checkout process was smooth and they also helped us with transferring our luggages to another city.
Short walk from the Ueno station but the Inaricho station was quite close.
Sound proofing between rooms wasn't so great. We could hear guests from other rooms quite easily.

The breakfast was good, and the location was very convenient, close to the subway and Ueno Park. The housekeeping was also very good.
The room was very small, with barely enough space to even put my suitcase. I could frequently hear the “ding” sound from the elevator, which was quite annoying. The bathroom felt like an old prefabricated unit rather than a regular bathroom. The bottom part of the sink had been repaired with tape, which was starting to peel off. There was also no wardrobe or proper storage space for clothes.

The location of as probable the best part of this stay. It gives you a real sense of feeling local. I particularly appreciated being detached from the volume of people in many ways.
The staff were formidable in their care and warm service.
As an Australian travelling solo, I’d say the biggest realisation was how tiny these room can be. I’d say believe the video reviews if you come across any. In many ways, it does become claustrophobic after a while. I personally enjoy space, so would encourage looking a slight bigger alternative.
