The rooms were beautiful. Very well renovated where the Castle feel is still there but with modern comforts. The staff were very kind and helpful.

Beautiful park and castle, lovely encounter with the deer population of the park.
The library bar was cosy with the peat fire place.
We liked also that the hotel is going through a restauration of the common rooms. When finished these rooms will look stunning. Reception personnel very friendly.
Food in the dungeon bar was ok but not wow, fish too much baked and the waiters were not most friendly/customer oriented.

This was our second visit, it was not mentioned in the advertising that half of the castle was under remodeling. However, it was still a nice stay. We did receive the remodeled rooms which was a unexpected treat. Will be returning someday and hope that remodel is then completed. They even have their own whiskey!!!
Was not aware of a remodel happening.

Castle surroundings were beautiful. Bathroom great size!
The bar tables were not clean and the waiting staff hadn't a clue about table service!
