Without a doubt the most beautiful and well-run hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The staff were incredible- so personable and caring. The food was exceptional- truly amazing. We were there as Taiwan was suffering the edges of a typhoon. The mountains kept the wind and most of the rain away and we were so comfortable. Silks Place is a treat.
It’s obviously not the property’s fault, but most of the walks and attractions in the gorge are still closed due to the devastating 2024 earthquake. Still, the gorge itself is spectacular.

We were treated very well by the staff during our stay. They upgraded our room without us asking. They also gave us an extra hour before check out. They included several thoughtful items for our stay which most hotels would charge separately for. Would definitely stay again. The hotel was full of wonderful scents that enriched our time there.
Access to the national park where the hotel is located is still under construction and many hiking routs remain closed from an earthquake two years ago.

The rooms were very comfortable and the staff friendly.
This is an isolated and outdated hotel with very strict rules about when you can eat and drink during the day
