An iconic and well-known hotel at the heart of Tunis. The establishment is one of the oldest in town and the whole complex is located on a super central spot, a short walk away from both the Medina (old town, souks, bazaar) as well as in close distance to the major city attractions. The rooms are spacious and well preserved whilst the staff is always willing to go the extra mile in providing tips & info for making your stay even more comfortable.
Even though there was an adequate selection of foods & delicacies, the breakfast could potentially get some improvement notes (eg: some of the bread products seemed not to be freshly made and some of the tables were not properly cleaned following the visit of another/other guests).

Lovely historical hotel, but a bit run down. The room was huge, but sparsely furnished.
Bed was very uncomfortable

They found us an excellent driver who gave us an wonderful tour to Bizerte giving us a great insight into Tunisia and its Carthaginian past. He then gave us a personal tour of the lakes which contained the pink flamingos. We could not have been happier.
Breakfast had a wide selection of basic foods
