The location was good. Walking distance to the MIXC mall, and 15-20min taxi drive away from almost everything.
I stayed at the 10th floor which allows smoking. Therefore, the entire floor including corridors especially the carpet of the room I stayed has the deeply embedded cigarette/tobacco odor. So, for those who're planning to book at this hotel, I'd recommend to request rooms at the non-smoking floors. To sum all up, Shangri-La Hotel in Huhhot felt quite old and worn out, and wasn’t particularly clean or well-maintained. Personally, I wouldn’t stay there again. I’d rather choose a newer hotel in the city center, as there are plenty of much cleaner and more comfortable options, such as Atour Hotel and Wenhao Hotel. These hotels were newer, much cleaner, and more comfortable, yet they’re also considerably cheaper.
