Lovely hotel, perfect for our family weekend where we had activities planned in the area. The hotel is in a very attractive building in a pretty setting. the indoor pool was very warm and the kids really enjoyed it. Our room was large and well appointed - a little aged, but clean and with thoughtful details like a large blanket for the dog to protect the floor and water bottles in the fridge. We had a family suit and it was ideal for the four of us as the children had their own room but within a spared space so it felt safe and comfortable. There were large windows that opened so it was possible to enjoy fresh air in the rooms and the proper wooden shutters meant we could have dark rooms to sleep. The beds were very comfortable so we all slept very well.
The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms was quiet and peaceful (extra points because we could see a pony out of our window!), I also appreciated the availability of bathrobes for the pool/hamam.
The breakfast was really excellent (and we're a family of breakfast lovers) and we had one evening meal which was also very good.
We were happy to find that there are onsite electric vehicle charging facilities which saved us driving up the road to the nearby fast charger (which is also an option).
Finally the hairdryer in the rooms was reasonable for a hotel hair dryer (had enough power to actually dry your hair!) - always appreciated by those of us with long hair!
The room felt a little stuffy when we came in - I suspect its because the central heating had just been reinitiated after the summer, because it was fine after we opened the windows and for the rest of our stay it was fine. The shower was ok but nothing amazing and I would really have appreciated a hair conditioner as well as shampoo available (but this is a very small detail).
