Villa Maria Hotel & SPA

Villa Maria Hotel & Spa is a wonderful place to stay. Their breakfast was awesome and there was such a variety of foods. I have celiac disease and they made me gluten free croissants every morning. We also ate dinner at the hotel for two nights in a row. With celiac disease it was wonderful to have choices that were also delicious. All of their employees were very friendly, especially Chiara who made sure we found her before we left so we could say goodbye. We booked the spa for the evening after a long day of touring our grandparent's towns and it was wonderful. The hotel provided us with a space outside to meet with our tour guides but also to meet with relatives from the area. It was so great having an outdoor area to visit with them and take pictures on the grounds.

Wonderful facility with a bar, resturant, and spa. Beautiful grounds with many outdoor seating locations. Food and service was exceptional. Beautiful rooms. Comfortable beds.

The spa was nice and views are pretty looking towards the sea.

The shutter in our bedroom didn't work and even though we reported it nothing was done so at sunrise the room was very light and made it hard to sleep. The bath towels were old and we had one with holes in it. The room was very dated and needs some freshening up. The TV only played Italian TV and didn't allow phones to be connected so we had to watch TV on our tablets. The restaurant was closed when we asked to order some food as they had a private function on which we weren't told about. The walk to the hotel from the beach is up a very steep hill so take this into consideration when considering booking here. We booked hoping for some luxury but sadly this didn't meet our expectations.
