We were in a pinch and needed a place to stay day of. The staff was INCREDIBLY kind and we were able to have an easy meal with a STUNNING view up top. It felt the equivalent of a US holiday inn by the room and the rooftop, with just more dated lobby & elevators.
Walking to the hotel from downtown Athens (near the library/university building) was through some rougher parts with high police presence. I would recommend taxi’ing directly and taxi’ing anywhere you need to go, especially if alone and female.
