This was a really nice hotel in a quiet area of Kyoto. It had a convenient shuttle to a nearby subway station. There were four restaurants. We sampled 3 and all were excellent, including two high quality Japanese restaurants.

Far from public transport. But they provide a minibus to a metro station every 20 minutes
