We stayed for 5 days from October 18th as 4 adults, booking 2 Deluxe Rooms with balconies and Acropolis views.
Months before arrival, I contacted the hotel to ensure a comfortable, accessible stay for my parents. The entire team was exceptionally kind and helpful, from the reception staff and bellboys to the housekeeping staff, and every request was fulfilled with care.
We received two adjacent, newly renovated, spotless rooms exactly as requested - one with a double bed and the other with two separate beds, plus one room with a bathtub and the other with a walk-in shower. The beds were comfortable, and complimentary bottled water and chocolates with personal notes were provided daily.
The location is ideal, right on Syntagma Square, within walking distance of everything and just steps from the hop-on hop-off bus stop. We ate out, so we didn't try the hotel food.
A truly wonderful stay - highly recommended!

Location. Room service easy to use. The bed and furniture was comfortable. Great view of the Acropolis. Large suite with plenty of room to feel comfortable.
The hotel is clearly very old. I knew that when booking. Housekeeping needs to do better. The cup saucers in our room had a layer of dust. The tank for the coffee pot also looked horrible. Maybe it was hard water and lack of use. The rugs were badly stained and needed a good cleaning. We had an early morning transfer to the airport and a cup of coffee to kick start the day would have been great. Some of the outlets didn’t work and one of the lamps had electrical tape wound around the cord.
They use the lobby as a Viking Cruise ship starting point and travel agency desk. The lobby at 7am was congested with bus loads of people standing around.
It did NOT feel like a 5 star property.

Excellent stay at NJV Athens Plaza! The location is perfect, the staff are friendly and professional, and the service is excellent. The rooms are comfortable and well maintained. A great choice for staying in the heart of Athens. Highly recommended!
Lack of parking.
