Friendly staff, great location, big and comfortable room.
I was only given a thin duvet cover instead of a summer duvet, and I felt a bit cold while sleeping. The light from the corridor came through the gap between the door and the wall. There's only one socket near the bed, so you have to choose if you plug in the bedside lamp or your phone charger.

The location is excellent.
We stayed in a room with a private bathroom. The thin walls, the elevator being out of order for almost two days while we were staying on the 4th floor, and the lack of proper blankets were the main issues. There was only a thin bedsheet, and we almost froze on the first night. It would also have been useful to have at least one chair in the room. In addition, the hangers could have been placed literally anywhere else instead of above the bed. If you hang anything there, it hangs right above your head. When we wanted to have coffee downstairs at the café, they first did not have any coffee beans, which seemed like someone had forgotten to order them. After that, every time we ordered the same coffee, we received a different type of coffee and were charged a different price.

The room was clean and staff was nice. It was a good stay for one night.

The downstairs lounge area was decent, good location and FANTASTIC receptionists (the ones checking people in during the late afternoon/early evening of Friday 23rd October and the next morning). A special thanks to the male receptionist who was working when I checked in and the next morning. I didn't catch his name but his superb customer service and kind demeanor actually cheered me up after not the best evening the night before. I didn't mix as much with the female one working the same shift but she was great too when I did.
I score 6 because apart from the receptionists and the downstairs lounge area, I can't say I really liked the hostel. In the dorm - the extractor fan sounded like an earthquake it was so loud, the bathroom tap was broken and the bathroom door handle seemed like it was just about to break when I arrived, and the opposite apartments could see straight into the female dorm. The shared 2nd floor bathroom - when the 1 dorm bathroom was occupied in the morning, I went to use the shared bathroom on the 2nd floor only to find no soap in the dispenser. The 23rd was a full night at the hostel - how many people had done their business, not washed their hands and touched things in the hostel? Gross! On the evening of Fri 23rd, I went to use the female toilet on the ground floor near Reception. At the sink inside a lady had taken over the area with all her cosmetics. They filled and covered the sink area while she got ready. After using the toilet she wouldn't let me use the sink and was aggressively in broken English telling me that I could go outside as I was a tourist and she was a local and part of the hostel's family and friends. Or this is what I understood her to mean. I told the receptionist who was on at the time (not the ones mentioned above.) No kitchen is a shame.
