Staff was very kind and helpful, the room and facilities were immaculately clean and well maintained, breakfast was good and the location was super convenient to the train station and only 15min walk from the First and Pfingsteg gondolas and Grindelwald Terminal. The view from the Eiger View room was amazing !The building itself is beautiful as well ! The room looked newly renovated which was great!
The hotel is located on the main road and the road noise from cars, trucks etc can get annoying especially for light sleepers. There is some noise reduction when the doors and windows are closed but you can still hear it.
Unfortunately my upstairs neighbors were dragging furniture ,suitcases and were making laps from one end of their room to the other until 11pm every night. So if you happen to have inconsiderate people staying above you you will be on their sleep schedule. I was waking up from their stomping when they would go to the bathroom at 3am although I sleep with ear plugs in my ears.
