Design Ashram is an incredible place to stay! The atmosphere in the library is unique, peaceful, and inspiring. The rooms and furnishings in this well-maintained historic building (over 200 years old!) are charming, serene, and full of character. Having access to a fully equipped kitchen every day was a huge bonus for me.
The central courtyard is an amazing focal point; it’s a wonderful gathering spot where you meet like-minded people, creative artists, musicians, and global nomads. It’s also a great place to relax or work online with a solid internet connection!
Nothing disappointed me at all. When the air-conditioning was a bit too cold, the staff immediately provided me with a second blanket, making my stay super comfortable.
For less than € 8,00 a night, this place offers exceptional value. I had a wonderful week here, and spending time in the library was definitely one of the highlights!
Nothing at all! I arrived at 05:30 in the morning by night-bus, and the owner had already arranged approval with security so I could check in right away. I was even given towels, was able to take a shower, and got a few extra hours of sleep! Everything was positive, absolutely no complaints! FANTASTICA!!!! Thank you so much for all your hospitality!

It's an artistic place first with a creative vibe. It was my second stay here, after seven years. The location is excellent, the property well maintained, the common area beautiful and the staff friendly and nice. It would be even better to come here when they host events.

Location, heritage atmosphere, courtyard, vibe of the neighbourhood, huge shelf for organising luggage, artwork and furniture
Lighting in private double room good bee improved (currently only „agressive“ fluorescent tube, no reading light lamp at the bed), tabs need a descaling, bed is actually too narrow for 2 people but ok for 2-3 nights
