Our stay at Chalet Rosa was easily one of our absolute favorite accommodation experiences, thanks in large part to our wonderful host, Gabby.
From the moment we arrived, Gabby went above and beyond. She met us right at the door, walked us to our room, and acted as an incredible local guide throughout our stay. We were placed in Room #1, which was only a quick half-flight of stairs up—a detail we appreciated immensely as it made access effortless for my 83-year-old uncle.
The room itself was very modern, comfortable, and featured a breathtaking view of the waterfall right from the window. The complimentary breakfast was a fantastic start to each day, and the location couldn't be better: situated right on the main street, it's just a relaxed 10-minute walk from the train station. Following Gabby's recommendation, we checked out a cozy local pub just a few blocks down the street (which claims to be the only pub in town!) and had a wonderful time.
Gabby’s warm hospitality and attention to detail made our trip truly special. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Great location just a few minutes from Staubach falls, excellent varied and plentiful breakfast, comfortable beds.
Our room faced the main street and you could hear the cars pretty easily in the morning, but it wasn't a problem at all during the nighttime.

The location seemed farther from the train station than described, especially given navigating through very crowded sidewalks with luggage to the other end of town. But it was great for access to the trail, and right next to the waterfall.
The breakfast was mediocre. There was no staff onsite except for in the morning for breakfast and housekeeping. We were there for two nights, and our room was not serviced. There was a long flight of stairs, and no elevator, and nobody there to help us haul or luggage up. For the price of this place, I expect better.
