About this house rental
Our four bedroom two storey home has awesome views in one of the top suburbs in Dunedin. It is comfortably furnished and ready for your stay. Just a couple of minutes drive to St Clair beach with cafes & restaurants, saltwater pool, surfing etc. Only 10 minutes drive to the city centre.

Amazing views of Dunedin looking down the harbor and down to St Clair and St Kilda beaches. Great photo opportunities at sunrise and sunset. Good sources of heating with a heatpump, bar heater and panel heaters, plus electric blankets. (Bathroom floor very cold on barefeet though as underfloor heating didn't seem to be working). Only real issues were sorting out how to switch the gas bottles over in order to get hot water for a shower. Not easy if unfamiliar with using gas. (Host was quick to reply to this issue, so was able to get sorted in good time). Plus the house could do with a proper dusting, especially the vent in the upstairs bathroom which was absolutely clogged with dust, which could be a fire hazard.

Fantastic views and great living space made it a joy to return to the accommodation each night. Loved Dunedin and will be back.

There was nothing wrong with this rental, but it wasn’t quite up to the standards of our other rentals this trip. It’s an older place and things were clean, functional but a bit worn. Entrance to driveway is very tricky but we got used to it.

Really the only thing this place has going for it is the view. Furniture old and uncomfortable. Bed linens and towels seemed very used and old. Mattresses were thin and lumpy. Heat was almost non-existent except for what was stuck here and there in some of the rooms. We were disappointed and would not stay here again.
