Warm welcome from the hosts. Clean room/bathroom. Hotel easy to find. Other customers in the bar very friendly. Would stay here again next time I am in the North East.
Nothing really. Breakfast didn’t start until 9.00am. Would have liked an earlier start (eg 7.00am) as I had to leave at 8.00am but not a big deal. Wouldn’t stop me from staying here again.

It was more or less ok
Extremely small shower, extensive smell of smoke from neighbor/s, location, the heating was not working and the night felt very cold

Quirky with a very lively pub next door. Quiet in spite of that. Landlady was very helpful and she found us towels and drinks etc for the room. No one from the hotel around and the place seemed empty apart from us. They didn’t seem to be expecting us or really very bothered.
The surroundings were dirty and very untidy. Rubbish around and pub debris all over.
