A wonderful place with soul, very attentive hosts and a wonderful breakfast
9 / 10Outstanding·Oct 2026
The hotel is very well run by a father and son team. The staff are so friendly and the breakfast is superb. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was nice and big with an excellent shower. The views from the Conte room were nice too. The grounds were a pleasure to walk around and the hotel's decor was impressive.
We were on foot most of the time and because the hotel overlooks a lot of the town the uphill walks to the property took a lot of effort with my pregnant wife.

We simply didn’t want to leave! ✨
Our stay at this exquisite Italian villa was nothing short of enchanting. Steeped in history and timeless elegance, the villa exudes an extraordinary sense of grandeur, with magnificent antique furnishings, exquisite frescoes and beautifully preserved details that evoke the romance of a bygone era.
What made our experience truly exceptional, however, was the impeccable hospitality. Every member of the team offered the warmest welcome, genuine friendliness and attentive, outstanding service that made us feel so welcome. The breakfast offering was as good if not better than a 5 Star Hotel.
Villa Platamone has created memories to treasure long after our departure. We left with heavy hearts and one delightful thought already in mind, we cannot wait to return!

Staying at Villa Platamone was far more than an ordinary hotel experience. It was an unforgettable journey through history, art, elegance, and Italian aristocratic heritage.
This magnificent neoclassical villa, dating back to the 19th century, is an architectural masterpiece. From the moment we entered, we were captivated by its timeless beauty, impressive architecture, magnificent ceilings, historic frescoes, sculptures, and beautifully preserved original details. Every corner of this extraordinary residence tells a story, making you feel as though you have stepped back in time.
One of the most memorable highlights of our stay was undoubtedly breakfast. Sitting around a magnificent large table in the elegant dining room, sharing breakfast with other guests, was a truly unique and wonderful experience. It felt less like having breakfast at a hotel and more like being personally welcomed into the home of a distinguished Italian aristocratic family. The atmosphere, the presentation, and the entire experience were simply exceptional.
What makes Villa Platamone truly remarkable is the beautiful harmony between its rich historical heritage and modern comfort. Preserving such an extraordinary architectural treasure while allowing guests to experience its beauty is something that deserves the highest admiration.
We would like to express our sincere appreciation to the owners and the entire team for maintaining this magnificent property and creating such a memorable experience.
Villa Platamone is not simply a place to stay. It is a place to experience history, architecture, art, and the timeless elegance of Italy.
We have stayed in many beautiful places, but Villa Platamone holds a very special place in our memories.
Giving this extraordinary property 10 out of 10 genuinely feels insufficient. If we could give it 11, 12, or even more, we certainly would!
An absolutely exceptional experience that we will never forget.
Thank you, Villa Platamone, for an unforgettable stay.
