Rude, invasive, unpleasant host and outdated apartment
I like the island Murter and I loved clean sea in the vicinity of the property. However, the beach in front of the house is not kids friendly due to sharp rocks and my main objective was to pay more per night so I can be minutes from the kids friendly beach.
Where to begin with? Property photos look great and say nothing about which apartment you actually rent and on which floor. I did not see any stairs on the photos so I expected to rent ground floor apartment with 3 rooms with spacious kitchen and dining table for 6. We arrived with 3 kids and had to climb steep stairs to the second floor, where balcony fence is so low that any person including a child can easily flip over the fence. Kitchen was literally one meter width - sink and 2 rings and no surface to prep food. No detergent to wash dishes, old sponge, no spare garbage bags, ants everywhere, dishes in cabinets with food stains. Dining table for 4 people only. Tiles on the floor uneven and every room having different tile. Again - another hazard because any small water droplet makes kids to slip and fall. Entering rooms - they were spacious, however pillows smelled, few towels that were provided were old and worn and rooms had ants around the perimeter of the rooms and under the bed. Bathroom had mold on the grout and no garbage bags in the bin. We went to the supermarket and bought cleaning supplies to disinfect everything. From day one host had complaints - how we open the door, how we walk or kids run, she would come every day and open door on her own to check inside - every time would comment how we keep towels or couch cover, how we dry or wash our clothes to much, have to much garbage (that we all sorted out and kept tidy but I guess she was annoyed that we asked her every day for new garbage bags, eventually we bought our own bags). Despite all the inconveniences around this apartment we tried to keep our kids quiet and not to move to much and tried focusing on the positives that we are at the sea for few more days and should enjoy it. Eventually we got tired of her continuos complaints and decided to check out day earlier. On that day we spent 4 hours cleaning the apartment and we told her we will check out a day earlier.
