Horrible experience!!!!Never again!!!!Learned my lesson!!!!

Location was too far away from center, felt isolated from events, music, etc,...Bathroom VERY STRANGE CONFIGURATION. Shower stall by kitchen. Shower stall is very narrow, water spills out. There is no place to put soap, razor, towel, etc. Very tight. Opens into a hallway and kitchen that has windows with no blinds. Neighbors can see you NAKED. NO PRIVACY!!! Not all light fixtures work. Beds that look into living room, are not comfortable. No clothes pins or condiments. Entrance dark, no working light. There are items stacked on each side of the wall like a hoarder that smell of mildew, mold. NO ELEVATOR!!! Let me say it again. NO ELEVATOR!!!! WE HAD TO CARRY LUGGAGE UP AND DOWN STEEP STAIRS!!! FLH is UNRELIABE!!!!!. DO NOT GET A TRANSPORT THROUGH THEM!!!! I booked a transport for 4:30 am for an early ✈️ flight which I confirmed twice via chat with FLH on Booking.com platform. They said just to pay driver 45 euros when he gets there and that this driver is from a company they use often. 4:38am still waiting. I called FLH and man said he had no notes of any booked transport and advised to call an UBER. I tried 3xs to get UBER, finally one came 20 minutes later causing us to miss our flight. My family members and I had to pay out of pocket over $700 for a one hour flight to Seville. My elderly mother was with us. It was a DISASTER! As a result, we also missed our transport to our Seville Apartment that was booked through Booking.com. I had to pay for a different transport as the new flight had a different arrival time. OUR LISBON EXPERIENCE WAS DESTROYED. MY KIDS SAY THEY NEVER WANT TO COME TO LISBON AGAIN BECAUSE OF THIS!!!!! I sent FLH and Booking.com proof of this by attaching my chat info and I'm still waiting for compensation!!!!! I planned for this trip months in advance using Booking.com and United. We were traveling for 3 weeks on a budget. SPEND A LITTLE MORE, MAYBE WITH A DIFFERENT SEARCH ENGINE!!!! DO NOT BOOK WITH FLH!!!!

4 night stay at Madragoa Bright apartment in Santos

Loved the location of this apartment in a quirky original rustic Portuguese building in the Santos area, A good little supermarket down the steps across from the apartment. There were plenty of bars and restaurants around and lots more a short walk along the road to the Time out market area, Cais do sodre, Baixa and Chiado. With Alfama a bit further out. All walkable. The little balcony was an added bonus, sun shined in every morning, you can see the church bell and the Tagus River from it. Easy key pick up from the key safe box to the left of the front door on the wall, the code was sent by wassap to me hours before arrival. Plenty of pots pans plates glasses knives in the kitchen and dishwasher and washing machine and also a microwave there is a hairdryer in the bathroom. There is a cute little double door from the main double bedroom into the bathroom area which can be kept closed if you prefer. The bathroom layout is cute with a door off the kitchen and one off the bedroom, the bathroom is a long area with shower at one end and toilet with door at the other end and sink with mirror in the middle. The shower was roasting hot every day and easy to use. There was nothing negative about this apartment for us a family of 4 of 2 adults and 2 older children. I'm glad I never paid any attention to some stupid negative reviews. The beds were super comfy in both rooms, and AC heated up in no time but we never really needed it as the apartment was cosy in the morning from the sun coming in. The twin bedroom being double doors from the living room again absolutely no issue with this. We will definitely be back. There is a little cocktail bar at the top of the road on the left called "Matiz Pombalina" definitely worth a wee visit on the way back to the apartment at night. Lovely man that runs it. The hosts were easy to contact and were responsive although I never had to raise any issues with them as never had any..

Nothing was all perfect. People moan about the hall not having a light, you can put light on from your apartment in the hall but couldn't find one when coming in the main door, we didn't care, it added to the quirkiness of this building we used our phone torches no big drama or issue.

We liked the view from window in living room. The house seems to be old which is authentic. Pesronal is very friendly and ready to help.

Water in the bathroom was only cold or hot. Moreover, there is black mold in the bathroom :c
