Convinient stay in Somerset west

Lovely view. Very clean. Even a fireplace to enjoy.

We were happy with everything

It was great - highly recommend!

Great location and great view. Really appreciated the little details even though we didn't make use of them but having 'braai spice' and even dishwasher tablets are really helpful. I also loved how clean the unit was!

Uninhabitable conditions and aggressive host – avoid at all costs

Basically nothing.

This property should not be rented out in hot weather. Period. The apartment was dangerously hot, with no air conditioning, no cooling system, and no effective ventilation. The indoor temperature was so high that staying inside felt like being in a sauna. Sleeping was impossible. This is not a matter of comfort — these are unlivable conditions. In the next morning I contacted the owner and tried to resolve the issue calmly and constructively. I made it very clear that I was not refusing to pay for the booking. I only asked for a solution to the extreme heat problem. What I received instead was hostility. The owner was rude, dismissive, and aggressive. When I called him to discuss the situation, he showed zero interest in the fact that the apartment was impossible to stay in. His only concern was money. He repeatedly demanded payment and threatened to call the police if the money was not transferred by 10 AM the next morning — this was already the second day of a one-week booking. He then hung up the phone. This behavior is unacceptable. A host threatening guests instead of addressing unsafe living conditions shows a complete lack of responsibility. It was obvious that this was not the first time he had received complaints about the heat — he was very confident in dismissing the problem. Booking.com support was also disappointing. Yes, air conditioning is not listed in the amenities. However, the absence of AC does not justify renting out an apartment that becomes uninhabitable due to extreme heat. This host does not care about guest safety, comfort, or basic human conditions. He only cares about getting paid and ignores everything else. This is not “value for money”. This is value for survival. I strongly advise future guests to stay far away from this property.
