Breakfast was not included, which for what we spent seemed a little ungenerous.
Staff is lovely and the cultural events were a really nice experience.
Rooms are really tiny, no room to unpack a suitcase. Also walls quite dusty along the wall near the air conditioner.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is newly built and has a luxurious feel, like a smaller version of a high-end hotel. The location is great, only about a 10-minute walk from Gion. The hotel always smelled wonderful, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We appreciated having fresh towels and water every day, as well as the good variety of amenities provided. Breakfast was good. The laundry room was also very convenient, especially for a longer stay. Overall, a lovely hotel with a great atmosphere, excellent location, and thoughtful amenities. We would happily stay here again.
The only downside was that the room was cleaned only once during our 5-night stay. We would have preferred daily or at least every-other-day cleaning.

The decoration in the floor that I stayed with the flowers by the elevator were very gracious. Unfortunately I only stayed there for one day.
I originally had booked for 3 days and cancelled 2 days ahead of time before getting the penalty. They wanted me to pay more. I showed my papers to the front desk guy and complained. After a long explanation he still said that I had to cancel and rebook with booking. com and I said that I did not do anything wrong and was tired and had to be grant the original price that they granted me. I did not need this aggravation staying there for one day. This was very stressful for me. They should not have done that.
