Everything! We chose it for the location near the Elephant Transit Home and this was great, we even went twice in one day, it was such a short walk! We ate at the hotel, which was good, and it is also a short walk to another couple of restaurants that are also recommended. We really liked the design of the hotel, the pool and the gardens and the chill out areas outside the rooms. They arranged for a packed breakfast for the very early morning safari and we were able to get changed etc in our room after we got back from safari at about 12pm.
Nothing! I really recommend staying here when in Udawalawe for elephants and safari.

Fantastic boutique hotel with a delightful
Owner who ensured everything was perfect. Great restaurant too! We booked safari through the hotel, it was excellent and exceeded expectations.

A lot of thought has gone into the beautiful setup. Tropical feeling dining space and pool area. The staff and manager are super friendly.

The location is close to the Elephant Transit Centre and the Park for safaris. The safari organised by the owners was v good and we were lucky with the wildlife on the day. The place is under development and there are lots of nice design touches. The room is fairly large w bedroom ensuite and two sitting areas. Breakfast was tasty.
The pool was not open due to water quality. The restaurant was partly open. The hot water barely functioned and the toilet was dysfunctional- wouldnt clear and stank which made the bedroom pretty unpleasant.
