The location is superb. Very near to everything. The staff are friendly and accomodating. You can stay in the lounge area while waiting for check in.

The property is conveniently located near Colombo Port City and the Presidential Palace. Its central location makes it easy for guests to explore the city and save time getting around.
The outdoor lounge can feel a little hot and humid, especially for visitors who are not used to the local climate.

The room and hostel was good.
The only issue I want to mention is the tuk-tuk drivers waiting just outside the hostel. I suspect the hostel staff know them—and might even have an arrangement—as their behavior is extremely pushy and intrusive. During my two-night stay, every time I walked out, they tried to talk to me and followed me down the street.
At the end of my stay, I took one of these tuk-tuks. The entire way, the driver pressured me to visit a gem store, completely ignoring me even though I repeatedly said I was in a rush to catch a flight. Upon arrival, he demanded more money than we had initially agreed on. The hostel management should take precautions regarding this, especially since I frequently saw the staff chatting with these drivers and calling them by name.
