Victoria Hotel by Chef & Brewer Collection

Great room. Warm and comfortable. Bathroom facilities great for a person with poor mobility. Nice touch chocolates on the bed when we arrived. Friendly staff. Great location. We had Sunday lunch there too. Great food and service.

Bit noisy in the evening. Think our room was near the kitchen. But the noise stopped at 9:30pm

Room was lovely and clean, beds comfortable and the staff at this location weere absolutely exceptional going above and beyond for us. Would certainly stay here again as the facilities were great, above the public house but we did not have an issue with noise and the food was also yummy!

Victoria hotel is in a great location and all the staff are welcoming and friendly, nothing is too much trouble and they all work together as a team we had a really good experience and will return

The only downfall at the hotel is the parking for some reason the people that live in the area think it’s fine to park their cars at the hotel while they go shopping etc and no one does anything about it so when you return after a day out there is no where to park and you end up in a car park and having to pay it would only take a notice resident parking only and none residents that park there will be clamped

Look, it is a very nicely executed design, comfortable and pleasant.

It’s starting to show its age and some things, which are easily fixed are being left. For example, if you go on a balcony at the rear of the property, look down, the passageway is filled with rubbish. The restaurant gents toilet is leaking, a lot. Our room had lost one of its bedside lights and black mould is growing in the shower. None of these are ‘showstoppers’ but reduce the quality feel the designers were going for. Finally, both the Breakfast service and evening meal were poor. The very nice breakfast server was clearly not on top of things, missing serving some of her customers entirely and making mistakes with the breakfast buffet provisions, the pastries were at least a cold day old. Finally, the main courses that the three of us had were fairly unpleasant with uncooked cabbage, inedible beef pies and other issues. Shame really
