Great location with nice pool.

Location short stroll to beach and restaurants and comfy lounge chairs by pool. Kitchen perfect for holiday catering.

The couch was definitely not for lounging on. Very uncomfortable chairs which were hard to relax on. Bed is a double but still comfortable.

The Baroque Dungeon

The Baroque dungeon: A Journey Into and escape from Yesteryear's "Luxury" Upon opening the door to this independently owned unit within the modest Sebel hotel complex, we were greeted by the unmistakable bouquet of moldy soil—nature's way of announcing a poorly maintained air conditioning system. Nothing says "welcome to your vacation" quite like a potential respiratory hazard! The noisy and busy roadside accommodation proudly advertises itself as "baroque," and in the most literal sense, they've nailed it. The walls are festooned with golden spray-painted ornaments that would make King Midas blush. A small brass bell protrudes menacingly from one wall—perfect for those who enjoy accommodation with built-in hazards. The owners have clearly spent decades perfecting this unique aesthetic, no doubt after extensive market research. On the positive side (yes, there is one), the unit boasts a decent size with a separate bedroom and its own small deck (featuring bottom numbing chairs). The bathroom is generously proportioned—perhaps the one area where function triumphed. The spa bath appeared clean- but was not certified so, and who really knows what lurked in those ancient dark nozzles? It didn’t tempt us. The sofa and chairs appear to be original artifacts, possibly from the Mesozoic era. My arms developed a special relationship with the cushions—specifically, they stuck to them. Select areas have been "upgraded" with new coir matting, ingenious for treating flaky foot skin. There's a folding rack for one suitcase, because which couple travels with more than one bag these days? The amenities list is impressive for what it lacks: no oven, no coffee maker (in 2025!), and a hairdryer that appears to have been designed for drying dolls hair. The bed doubles as both sleeping space and relationship test—prepare for involuntary cuddling if you're accustomed to queen or king dimensions.

Enjoyable but professional courtesy from niche should have advised us about building work

Location perfect and central to everything

Was not advised by niche that building work was going on that had pool closed, access to reception and leaving resort only by going back down to car park and builders , scaffolding and a lift machine just outside our balcony. If I had been told I would have been much happier. As it was, we put up with it gracefully.
