It felt like a home, we were warmly welcomed by the staff, the whole ‘hotel’ has been decorated tastefully throughout.
Our room was large, very comfortable & clean, the basket of fruit was a lovely touch, our balcony was large & we had a chipmunk for company at times.
The breakfast was really good & so much of it, our waiter Thilina was very attentive & couldn’t do enough for us.
Our evening meal in the restaurant was delicious.
The wifi in our bedroom was very weak, but downstairs it was fine.

Everything about this hotel is truly exceptional. The old colonial building is beautiful with lovely gardens. The bedrooms are massive, clean airy and with a great balcony to relax on looking out over Kandy Lake. The breakfasts were delicious with a huge choice of Sri Lankan and western foods.
And the staff went above and beyond to make our stay truly memorable. I think this is the best hotel experience we have ever had.great value for money.

Everything. We loved our room with the private balcony overlooking the lake. The staff were outstanding, we ordered the Sri Lankan vegetable curry and rice for dinner and it was probably the best meal we have eaten so far. Location was within walking distance to everything we wanted to see and strolling around the lake was very relaxing.

The staff were amazing, rooms were nice the one with the large balcony was excellent. The lounge area and dining room were lovely and clean too.
Crossing the road to walk around the lake was a bit scary as near a bend and buses and cars come quite quickly around the blind corner
